Decree No. 120/2022/ND-CP dated December 30th, 2022 of the Government on Vietnam’s special preferential import tariff schedule for implementation of ASEAN – Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement during 2022 -2028

The AJCEP tariff shall be applied to imported goods originated in the ASEAN nations and Japan.

The AJCEP tariff schedule in 2022 - 2028 period has 06 columns of tax rates, applicable to each period as follows:

- The tariff rate applicable from December 30, 2022 to March 31, 2023 inclusive;

- The tariff rate applicable from April 01, 2023 to March 31, 2024 inclusive;

- The tariff rate applicable from April 01, 2024 to March 31, 2025 inclusive;

- The tariff rate applicable from April 01, 2025 to March 31, 2026 inclusive;

- The tariff rate applicable from April 01, 2026 to March 31, 2027 inclusive;

- The tariff rate applicable from April 01, 2027 to March 31, 2028 inclusive;

In order to be eligible for AJCEP tariff rates, imports must fully meet these conditions: (i) they are included in the special preferential import tariff schedule; (ii) they are imported from the ASEAN nations and Japan and (iii) they have Certificate of Origin (C/O) - Form AJ

This Decree takes effect from the date of its signing and replaces Decree No. 160/2017/ND-CP dated December 27th, 2017.
