Decision No. 7785/QD-TLD dated August 25th, 2023 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour on amendments to the regulation issued together with Decision No. 6696/QD-TLD dated January 16, 2023 of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour regarding support granted to trade unionists and employees subject to reduced working hours or labor contract termination as a result of their employers’ cancellation or reduction of purchase orders

This Decision is to amend, supplement Decision No. 6696/QD-TLD dated January 16th, 2023 of Vietnam General Confederation of Labour in order to grant support to trade unionists and employees who are subject to reduced working hours or labor contract termination as a result of their employers’ cancellation or reduction of purchase orders during the period after April 1, 2023.

Accordingly, trade unionists and employees who are subject to reduced working hours or labor contract termination as a result of their employers’ cancellation or reduction of purchase orders during the period from April 1, 2023 to the end of December 31, 2023 shall be also granted support from trade unions

The amount of support granted to trade unionists shall be from VND 1,000,000 - VND 3,000,000/person; employees who are not trade unionists shall be entitled to VND 700,000 VND 2,100,000/person.

Trade unionists, employees may only receive one-time support from each policy for which they are eligible.

A trade unionist or employee may receive all support levels, including the difference between them, if he/she is eligible for all policies.

The deadline for completion of procedures for support shall be March 31, 2024 at the latest.

This Decision takes effect from the date of its signing.
