Duty policies applied to goods imported by contractors for construction of factories, offices for EPEs have been guided by the General Department of Vietnam Customs at Official letter No. 4344/TCHQ-TXNK dated October 17th, 2022.

Accordingly, in case contractors import goods from foreign countries for construction of factories, offices or installation of equipment for EPEs and meet the regulations on customs dossier, procedures at point c clause 4 Article 16, clause 2 Article 75 of Circular No. 38/2015/TT-BTCstatus2 (from June 5th, 2018, it is clause 5, clause 51 Article 1 of Circular No. 39/2018/TT-BTC), import duty shall be exempt.
