According to Official letter No. 5587/BKHDT-DTNN dated August 9th, 2019, when declaring in the application form for investment registration, investors have to present value of capital contribution in VND and the equivalent value according to a foreign currency (if any). Concurrently, on the investment registration Certificate, including the investment registration Certificate of foreign investors, it is also required to present value of capital contribution in VND and the equivalent value according to a foreign currency.

As the result, in principle all investment projects (including those of foreign investors) must be determined and registered capital contribution, charter capital in VND. Investors have to contribute adequate capital as registered; it is not allowable adjusting the capital contribution according to actual exchange rate.
