Relating to price of SARS-CoV-2 test (via Real-time RT-PCR technique), the Ministry of Health requests provinces, cities to enhance the inspection and examination, strictly handle medical facilities that take advantage of the epidemic to increase the price of COVID-19 testing services.

In which, for the case of paying the cost of SARS-CoV-2 tests according to regulations of laws on medical services and health insurance, testing price shall comply with regulations at Circular No. 02/2022/TT-BYT.

For the case the cost of SARS-CoV-2 tests is not covered by health insurance fund, the testing price must not exceed the ceiling price regulated at Circular No. 02/2022/TT-BYT.

For voluntary or requested tests, prices according the guidelines provided at Official Dispatch No. 8157/BYT-KHTC dated September 28th, 2021 shall be applied.

Price of SARS-CoV-2 test must exclude sponsored supplies and testing kits.
