This Circular provides for measures for minimizing noise, emission, dust, etc. arising from aviation operation at airports and aerodromes.
Accordingly, aircrafts operating in Vietnam must comply with requirements of noise regulated at Part 2, Volume 1, Annex 16 of the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation to which Vietnam is a signatory and Section 21 of the Vietnam civil aviation regulations on aircraft and operation thereof.
With regard to engines of aircrafts, they must comply with emission requirements regulated by ICAO under Chapter 2, Part 2 and Chapter 2, Part 3 Volume 2 Annex 16 of the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation and have the Certificate of aircraft types issued and accredited by the (Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).
In addition, air navigation service providers are responsible for apply applying technology solutions in order to minimize emission and noise from aircrafts; optimize take-off, landing time in order to reduce running time of engine while on aprons, taxi lanes, and runways;
This Circular takes effect from March 1st, 2023 and replaces Circular No. 53/2012/TT-BGTVT dated December 25th, 2012.
To abrogate Article 1 of Circular No. 28/2020/TT-BGTVT dated October 29th, 2020.
