Official letter No. 1077/BCT-TKNL dated March 2nd, 2023 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding reply to issues relating to application of the minimum energy efficiency to used products

The Ministry of Industry and Trade notes that with regard to used products, test results of energy efficiency of a shipment shall not be applied to another one.

Test results of energy efficiency according to the regulations at Circular No. 36/2016/TT-BCT are only applied to new products.

(According to clause 4, clause 5 Article 4 of Circular No. 36/2016/TT-BCT , with regard to equipment and appliances subject to energy labeling, enterprises may take the typical samples and send them to the testing laboratory for testing to be issued with the slips of testing results. Test results are bases for energy labeling for products with the same model and specifications, origin and manufacturing facilities).
